What is cunigunde of luxembourg?

Cunigunde of Luxembourg (c. 1270-1310) was the eldest daughter of the Count of Luxembourg, Henry VI, and his wife, Beatrice d'Avesnes. She was also the sister of Emperor Henry VII. Cunigunde was married to Wenceslaus II of Bohemia, who later became King of Poland. They had six children together.

During her husband's reign, Cunigunde was known for her piety and generosity. She was also respected for her political skills and played an important role in the affairs of the kingdom. After her husband's death in 1305, she served as regent for her son, Wenceslaus III, who was still a minor.

Cunigunde died in 1310 and was buried in the cathedral of St. Vitus in Prague. She was later canonized by the Catholic Church and is now venerated as a saint.
